The toy they clearly broke, the attention they think they deserve and the fact they believe you are there to cater to their silliest whims. That one customer that believe you owe them the world, the abuse that come out of their filthy mouths, god forbid you do not have what they want out the back. That is going to cost you with a little spat, dashed with some spit right in the face. "You are the worst employee, where is your manager I will have to reprimanded", honestly how many have thought, hell if only I could be fired for doing my job, that means I can go back to my bed, and not have to look at your disgusting face! No way paid enough to deal with abusive nasty people, no one should be subject to it either. The rudeness and disrespect that these self absorbed, entitled people show is seriously embarrassing. Personally I believe these people should be locked away, they can all go Karen at each other, leave the people who are just trying to earn an honest living, and pay their way through medical school alone. I will never understand why, people think its right to completely disrespect someone like that. Minimum wage to be subject to all kind of seriously ill mannered people, I feel for you! I watched a lot of videos online, of these people and I find myself cringing at their behaviour, having worked in retail fresh from school I had my fair share of Karen behaviour, but seeing what I have seen through various social media, it appears to be a lot worse than back then. Honestly where do these people get of acting like a three year old, that has been told no you cannot have that? Is it any wonder why no one wants to work anymore, having to put up with these kind of acts. And are you protected? not at all customer is always right, they buy our goods so as an employee just deal with it and develop an iron jaw. Having someone in your face, feeling their bad breath and their spit, you have to stand there and take it. Maybe one day it will change, protect staff from unjust behaviour, put these people in cages like the animals they are. The thing is it is not just shop staff that receive this behaviour, these people just think the earth revolves round them, council admins probably suffer a lot of abuse from entitled idiots, who believe that what they need should be done there and then. Even though there is procedure, investigations and even paper work to fill out, before work can even be thought to start. But no this Karen believes they are the only person with needs, screw everyone else no one else matters, their problem even though is only minor should be priority. I am willing to bet the person who believes that, walks into a hospital with a splinter and demands being seen to, over a person who is dying. Crazy times, people seem to have forgot how to approach and talk to others, kindness retains kindness. But to solely believe you are the only one with needs, makes me sick. Things take time to start, we cannot just wave a wand and it is done, restock the shelves harry potter style, cannot just make something you are looking for out of thin air, you have to wait like everyone old else for deliveries, or if you are that desperate for it by it before it becomes essential, plan ahead do not abuse people because it sold out. They say humanity is the smartest of all species, sometimes I honestly wonder, it appears that one percent that are growing to bigger numbers, they are dragging us backwards. So yeah I do feel sorry for retail, customer service staff and admins who have to deal with people on a daily basis. Keep mindful customers, one day you will pick the wrong fight and get hit, or you will subject someone to so much abuse they take their own life. Respect and be apart of the solution, it is becoming harder and harder, to be a worker. Respect for the ones who pay their taxes.
